FMTSO - FOOD

How could I not choose this topic? Some of you know that I have a food blog so I felt pulled to cover this topic, and to tell the truth I really didn't have to debate too long when pondering what topic I would cover.

I invite you all over to my food blog: Foundations, just click on the link to your right and there you will find more photos and some wonderful recipes for many items including those I have featured here...

I choose to include this photo of Dorie sipping a cold Diet Coke as we were on a picnic in Atlanta and I love picnic food and a cold soft drink... that first sip when the bubbles tickle your nose and it slides down your throat on a hot summer day...

Peaches, sugar, vanilla and a whole lot of hard work equal...

Homemade Peach Jam.

A peck of purple hull peas waiting to be shelled.

Homemade Grilled Pizza

Heirloom Tomatoes from the garden and a little sugar and spice makes

A wonderful Spiced Tomato Jam.

Blueberries waiting to be picked.

Pink Pickled Shrimp

Pimento Cheese Slider

and Fresh Herbs from the Kitchen Garden.

Wonderful post. I am sitting here getting hungry too, but my favorite photo is the herbs. That is a gorgeous picture and gives me an idea. I had never though to let the herbs all grown together.

I really should have looked at this blog AFTER my main meal of the day. Interesting coincidence though -- today being my first day of retirement, one of the things I have considered (since my wife has two more years to work) is periodically get creative with cooking and surprise her with some fancy dish. Maybe your blod is a "sign". On the other hand, since this is only my FIRST retirement day, my real plan is to take a long nap.
